Time Units

Time units and the related time values defines the members of the time dimensions within Bizview. For example, if a form should be able to save data in Bizview on a week-level, the week level must be defined as a Time Unit with all the weeks that Bizview currently should be able to handle as Time values. During the installation of Bizview a set of predefined time units and time values are pre-loaded into the Bizview database. They are based on the ISO calendar definition of dates.
Access time units by selecting Client administration > Other Items > Time Units.
In some scenarios it might be necessary to create your own time units, and populate these with the correct time values. A typical scenario might be that you have a financial reporting process not related to the calendar year. Your financial Q1 might be the calendar year Q3 or similar. In this case you would like to create new time units and time values describing the meta-data of the periods.
Click Create a new time unit at the top left side of the screen. Enter the below information:

When the new Time Unit is defined, the next step is to define the Time Unit Values for the new Time Unit.
Click View time values for the selected Time Unit to edit the Time Values for the Time Unit.
Here, all relevant periods/time values are created and maintained. In the example above with the following data should be populated in the different fields:
